OCTOBER 2015 ROSICRUCIAN MASS SERMON: THE HOLY QABALAH

The Holy Qabalah is much more than a manipulation of letters and numbers; words, sentences and the construction of language.  Though it is also these things, it is important to know the many other ways of understanding what is essentially a lifelong effort to bridge the gulf between the self and the divine; to marry the sky and the Earth.

SEPTEMBER 2015 ROSICRUCIAN MASS SERMON: CULTS & CULTIC BEHAVIOR

Most every religious group, as well as the more fringe Pagan and Magickal groups are cults or platforms for cult-like behavior.  These behaviors are as manners taught; socially tolerable or acceptable behaviors, such as bending the knee in supplication to political or divine power.  And that these two combine; even in American culture, set up political cults that even in larger measure are often referred to as political parties.

AUGUST 2015 ROSICRUCIAN MASS SERMON: NECROMANCY-IT’S NOT WHAT YOU THINK

Creativity is an important part of spiritual work and so much so, that even a little bit of it can produce great spiritual insight.  However, there are those who basically have very little of their own insight into the nature of their lives, they become sycophants of their spiritual teachers and come to depend on the spiritual insight of their teachers.  After the master dies, they then claim an authoritative insight into the teachings of the master; over and above all else that may approach his or her writings and his or her memory.  Be forewarned, this sycophant is a parasite; a second-hander who cannot produce anything creative or original and who has no spiritual vision of his or her own: this is the practice of necromancy.

July 2015 Rosicrucian Mass Sermon: The Abomination of Desolation & the Stele of Revealing

The Stele of Revealing is one of the most enigmatic symbols in Thelema.  And yet is demonstrates the whole of Liber AL vel Legis on one concise graphic image that works with great articulation.  The adorations that are derived from it should always be sung from the heart with great reverence and a sense of holiness.

JUNE 2015 ROSICRUCIAN MASS SERMON: THE GNOSTIC DIALOGUE

There is a form of prayer that doesn’t ask boons from some supernatural god that requires our devotion and adoration.  It becomes its own revelation of the soul.  There is a rumination with self and a rumination on the lines of holy writ.  Such prayer can make us all prophets:
“The mother standing in the doorway letting her sons
No longer presidents but prophets
They’re all dreaming they’re gonna bear the prophet,
He’s gonna run through the fields dreaming in animation”

MAY 2015 ROSICRUCIAN MASS SERMON: DARK NIGHT OF THE SOUL

We all must establish for ourselves the meaning for our lives; this responsibility is the noble journey.  So that to have soul is to act impeccably throughout our lives.  It is a matter of how we conduct ourselves in the relation of how one may represent oneself to him or herself.  But all of this must be met with a faith we must hold for ourselves; about and in ourselves.  And there is more than chance to doubt this at some point; though experience can dispel our fears.

April 2015 Rosicrucian Mass Sermon: Gnosis vs. Superstition

Gnosis would have no belief and no faith, but direct, conscious experience of the self and the world in which we live. This is a loaded statement, for to be conscious requires a strength of soul that has been rejected by western religion and replaced with faith and belief. That vital soul, the Logos is not inherent but must be forged by one’s deliberate effort. This is the cornerstone that the builders rejected and upon this we build the vital soul. Heretofore, the religions of the world have been telling us all about what allegedly happens to our souls after we die; using a host of false images that offer a vague consolation for the pain and suffering that comes to us in life.

MARCH 2015 ROSICRUCIAN MASS SERMON: SEMESTRAL WORD & DWELLER ON THE THRESHOLD

Our Semestral Word for the Vernal Equinox is: “unto.”  It’s a word that takes us to the very tip of the Abyss and the highest Initiation.  This is indeed where one would meet the Dweller on the Threshold and confront those remaining personality issues that are attached to the psyche.  The body has been abandoned and there is no defense from the Dweller; except the moral force that would produce the impeccability required to survive this very dangerous precipice.

February 2015 Rosicrucian Mass Sermon: Revealed Religion

Many religions hold to sacred texts that build both the mythos by which a people can identify themselves and a moral code by which they can conduct their lives.  Such words within these texts are considered sacred and often identified to be from a source outside the prophet or shaman that is revealing them.  In this way the authenticity and power of said holy words becomes as a proven fact.  Indeed, such words transfix or attention and fill us with a sense of awe.

January 2015 Rosicrucian Mass Sermon: On The Egregore

The world is a perfect amalgam of all our thoughts; collectively displayed before us in each moment.  Therefore, the world is exactly as it should be, as we, its creators, have made it.  Because of this, realize that if you have a complaint about the world, it’s not really indicative of a problem in the world itself; but a problem you have in yourself.
